What brought you to ANTC? I want to get experience in the medical field.

What is your dream job? My dream job would be something in the medical field.

What is your favorite class that you have taken so far? Why? I really enjoy Medical Assistant because I get to do things a nurse would do.

What is the best advice you have been given by your instructor at ANTC? “Don’t be nervous and go for it.”

What is your favorite memory at ANTC? My favorite memory at ANTC would be the first time I got blood while drawing blood from the dummy.

What was the first feeling you had when you attended ANTC? I was excited when I first got to ANTC.

What words of wisdom do you have for other students? If I could give advice for other students it would be do not procrastinate; just do your work.

Ally Powell

What brought you to ANTC? I came to ANTC to take Medical Assisting.

What is your dream job? My dream job would be to become a Registered Nurse.

What is your favorite class that you have taken so far? Why? My favorite class so far is Medical Assisting because Mrs. V. is such a great teacher and she is fun.

What is the best advice you have been given by your instructor at ANTC? One piece of advice I have gotten from my teacher is, “Mistakes are proof that you are trying.”

What is your favorite memory at ANTC? My favorite memory at ANTC is learning to take blood.

What was the first feeling you had when you attended ANTC? At first, I was nervous, but still curious.

What words of wisdom do you have for other students? I would tell other students to never give up.

What brought you to ANTC? I was brought to ANTC by a very close friend, she told me a little about it and it seemed interesting.

What is your dream job? My dream job would be to become a nurse, and do hair on the side.

What is your favorite class that you have taken so far? Why? My favorite thing I have taken so far would be Cosmetology. I love doing hair and learning new things about hair.

What is the best advice you have been given by your instructor at ANTC? One piece of advice I have gotten from my teacher would be always do your best and never give up.

What is your favorite memory at ANTC? My favorite memory at ANTC would be when we went to the State Fair, and doing things in the salon.

What was the first feeling you had when you attended ANTC? The first feeling I had when I got to ANTC would have been everybody at ANTC is very respectful and caring.

What words of wisdom do you have for other students? If I had to give one piece of advice for other students it would be always do your work and don’t take this opportunity for granted!

What brought you to ANTC? A couple of classmates told me about it. When I heard they had nursing, I got so excited because that’s what I wanted to do.

What is your dream job? My dream job is to become a BSN and to make a difference in people’s lives.

What are you involved in at your home school? At my home high school, I am involved in SCA, FCA, softball, and volleyball.

What is your favorite class that you have taken so far? Why? My favorite class that I have taken so far is probably Medical Assistant because it is a class that’s taking me to my future career.

What is the best advice you have been given by your instructor at ANTC? The best advice I have been given by Mrs. V is never give up and follow your dreams!

What is your favorite memory at ANTC? My favorite memory(ies) is making new friends from other counties and the amazing experience.

What words of wisdom do you have for other students? Take classes at Vo-Tech! It’s an amazing experience and a good way to follow your dream career!

What is your favorite memory at ANTC? Having clients come and get their hair done

What was the first feeling you had when you attended ANTC? I was a little nervous on how things were going to go

What brought you to ANTC? A career day at NHS

What is your dream job? My dream job is being a Makeup Artist

What is your favorite class that you have taken so far? Why? Cosmetology is my favorite class. I promise I’m not being biased. It’s my favorite because I can actually be me in there and I can ask questions and not feel embarrassed for not understanding. Also, Mrs. Rajah is very welcoming and funny.

What is the best advice you have been given by your instructor at ANTC? To not live life in fear and to always remain teachable

What is your favorite memory at ANTC? My favorite memory would be making Dream Boards; that was fun, but we also got to look towards the future.

What was the first feeling you had when you attended ANTC? Nervous; In my head, I was like what if I made the wrong choice or what if I can’t do this!

What words of wisdom do you have for other students? Just be yourself in whatever you do, and never doubt yourself. Always encourage yourself!

What brought you to ANTC? Cosmetology; when I was young I fell in love with braiding hair.

What is your dream job? Registered Nurse

What is your favorite class that you have taken so far? Why? Geometry; I love finding angles in different shapes.

What is the best advice you have been given by your instructor at ANTC? Time is money is something my instructor always says because you need to use your time wisely.

What is your favorite memory at ANTC? Making Vision Boards; I could see everything I wanted in the future all on one board.

What was the first feeling you had when you attended ANTC? No feeling; I felt at home and was welcomed with love.

What brought you to ANTC? My passion for doing hair brought me to ANTC.

What is your dream job? My dream job is nursing and having a job through cosmetology

What is your favorite class that you have taken so far? Why? Cosmetology, I enjoy doing hands on assignments and bettering myself with the basic cosmetology

What is the best advice you have been given by your instructor at ANTC? “You never know how much time you will have in front of someone or something so don’t take time for granted.”

What is your favorite memory at ANTC? Personally, I can’t pick a favorite memory because they all have a significant meaning to me. I love doing haircuts, and working as a team. I could not ask for a better teacher or classmates.

What was the first feeling you had when you attended ANTC? One of my first feelings was that this class was going to be stress relieving. In this class, I can truly be myself and put all worries aside.

What words of wisdom do you have for other students? Don’t take your class as a joke; work in class and at home so you can become better. This will help you with your future career.

What brought you to ANTC? I always wanted to do something different in life so when I saw Cosmetology that was something I wanted to do.

What is your dream job? My dream job is to be a teacher and make extra money by doing hair.

What is your favorite class that you have taken so far? Why? Cosmetology, because I am actually learning something

What is the best advice you have been given by your instructor at ANTC? Follow your dreams and never give up

What is your favorite memory at ANTC? I have so many, I love everything about ANTC

What was the first feeling you had when you attended ANTC? I was a little nervous because we were in class with seniors.

What words of wisdom do you have for other students? When life or anything get tough, never give up keep trying.

What brought you to ANTC? I just wanted to take Cosmetology.

What is your dream job? My dream job is to become a Labor and Delivery Nurse.

What is your favorite class that you have taken so far? Why? Cosmetology because I get to do a lot of hands on things and learn how to do hair.

What is the best advice you have been given by your instructor at ANTC? The best advice I have received is to always speak your mind.

What is your favorite memory at ANTC? The best memory I have is the party we had last December.

What was the first feeling you had when you attended ANTC? The first feeling I had was being both nervous but excited to start Cosmetology.

What words of wisdom do you have for other students? Some words of wisdom I would share with others is to always work hard.

What brought you to ANTC? I enrolled in the Cosmetology program because I thought the class would be interesting.

What is your dream job? The dream job for me would be to develop a business combining Cosmetology and Art to do behind the scenes movies.

What is your favorite class that you have taken so far? Why? My two favorite classes are Cosmetology and Art because you get to use your creativity in both of these classes which I like a lot.

What is the best advice you have been given by your instructor at ANTC? Time is money! So, use it wisely!

What is your favorite memory at ANTC? The favorite memory I have being at ANTC is the first day I arrived, I like all the different things I could learn from just walking around the building.

What was the first feeling you had when you attended ANTC? I was nervous about being in class with the other county but once we met, I made friends and had a lot of fun.

What words of wisdom do you have for other students? The words of wisdom I have for the other students is you may not know or understand it today, but keep trying you will get it; don’t give up!
